             Text Box: This 150,000 square foot facility houses the Delaware Co., Indiana jail, offices of the county sheriff, five county courtrooms, county 911 answering center, and a federal emergency response center.  Construction of the jail was mandated by a US Federal Court in response to a lawsuit brought by prisoners being detained in the old jail.  After nearly a decade of legal and political battles, the project was completed in 1989 using the Construction Management method of project delivery.
Architects of record were Graham,Love Graham/Polson.  While serving as a principal at Graham, Love and Graham, Jim McKibben of McKIBBEN ARCHITECTS, LLC, functioned as the project Job Captain.  Polson Architects of Kansas City, MO were jail specialists and served as design architects.
